There is nothing funny about tragedy, yet life is full of humor, if one is able to see it. It is important that despite any tragedy in your life, you do not allow yourself to remain so angry or sad that you become bitter or discouraged. There are times to cry and times to laugh. In fact, the Bible (before the Beatles ;-) ) speaks about the different aspects of life and times that are appropriate for certain emotions...

Solomon (the wisest man who ever lived) wrote in Ecclesiastes 3 that there is a time and season for everything. The New Testament Apostle Paul spoke of the paradox that exists when facing tough times and even tragedy. You can still maintain faith and hope! He said, "We are hard pressed on every side, yet not crushed, perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken, struck down, but not destroyed." (2 Cor. 4:8-9).
